I am a fan of MC Escher.  He created art that makes you think: about shapes, math, reality, and life. I thought this picture was a good choice because of its shape and its content.

It took some reflection to realize this, but this picture encompasses the origins of design.  And suddenly the choice made more sense.

*I was like, oh haha, I didn’t even do that on purpose*

Personally I believe this was the origin of design.  Escher depicts the first man and woman and animals and nature.  To me, that is the beginning as those were the first designed ‘things’ in the world. And so it makes a great header for this blog.  And I think it gets people scratching their heads or at least thinking.
